Why students and teachers are concerned

Increasing numbers of educators, experts, and students are questioning the value of dissection exercises. There are serious ethical and environmental problems with the way animals are collected, prepared, and killed, and the dissection itself sends a troubling message to young people about the way animals should be treated.
